Welcome to 2008, folks!

Album recording is now FINALLY completed, and mixing and artwork shouldnt be too far behind. In the meantime, we have a few shows coming up  over the next month in various
parts of Tassie (check the gigs section for details), including some all-ages shows.  I should be putting a rough mix of one of the tracks up on our myspace fairly soon.

2/10/07

Album recording is well under way. Drums were completed at Red Planet a few weeks ago, with Joe Haley (Psycroptic) behind the desk.  Sounding BIG. Will be tracking guitars shortly.

We've allowed ourselves some brief distractions, with a couple of Tassie gigs coming up over the next month. Should be fun.

Wow, Ive been massively slack with updating this, havent I?

Firstly, Andrew Serisier has taken up guitar duties with the band, and we've been putting a lot of work into getting him up to speed, and looking at re-arranging some of the songs here and there.

We will be unleashing the new lineup in a gig at the Saloon (Launceston) on Friday 13th July. (See gig section for details).

Work on the album is progressing slowly, but steadily. Stay tuned.

Happy New years, happy Australia day, and generally yeah...how's it gaaan?

'A Riddle of Scars' Demo is now available from the mp3 section. Check it out and leave us a comment in our rather cob-webby guestbook.

Applications for the guitar position are now closed, and we will be making our decision in the next week or so.

Cheers,

Baldness.

For those of you interested in applying for the guitarist position (since Will's departure from the band earlier this month) click here for details.

10/12/2006

As those of you who attended last night's gig would know, our long-time guitarist; Will Plaister, has decided to leave ZDF to allow him to put more time into his other projects. Will has offered to stay on to complete the recording of the new album, but last night's gig was his last with the band.

On behalf of the band, I'd like to thank Will for the level of energy and creativity he has put into the band over the last 3 years, (and for getting us all kicked out of Carotel, when we played in Canberra!) and wish him the best with his future endeavours.

Will only broke the news to us on Friday, so we have no plans as yet for securing a replacement, but we'll keep you posted...for now, efforts will be geared towards completing the album.

Cheers,

Simon - ZDF

Well, my hand has been back in action for a while now, and we will be playing a show at The Saloon in Launceston on the 9th December with Taberah, Confessions of Darkness, Corpse Carving and Mephistopheles. Further details in gig section.

Writing is back under way, and we plan on playing a few new songs at the gig on the 9th. See you there.

Baldy.

15/10/2006

ZDF have unfortunately been forced to cancel upcoming performances, due to my foolishly having broken my hand  in a drunken incident with a wall. That said, the Devonport gig on the 21st is still going ahead, with Taberah, Abacinate and Confessions of Darkness + a replacement (TBA)....should be an awesome gig.

Apologies for those of you who were keen to see us, we WILL make it up to you soon!

Cheers,

The Bald (and slightly broken) Bastard

ZDF will be supporting Melbourne's Exit Wounds and Adelaide's Truth Corroded on their respective Tasmanian expeditions in the coming weeks. Details in the gig section.

Writing has been progressing steadily, and we expect to unleash some new material at some of these gigs.

8/6/2006

Writing is continuing, while Linton is off in the US,  and we have some Tassie gigs lined up for late July/early August.

Will post details once they are sorted out. Check the gigs section.

1/5/2006 - Message from The Bald Bastard.

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our performance at LORD's Hobart gig, due to a stuff up on my part.  Apologies.
I'll just have to pay to get in like everyone else now.

Our performance at Outright Cure, (26th May) will still go ahead as planned.

Cheers to everyone who made it along to the Commercial Hotel on Saturday, 'twas awesome to catch up with you.

I have added a link to several photos from Brute Force Fest (hosted at Pyromusic.net) in the photos section.

16/3/2006 - Some changes to Brute Force Lineup.

ZDF would like to thank Arts Tasmania for generously assisting us with our airfares to Sydney for this event.

In other news, we should have girly shirts available very soon. (For those of you that have been VERY patiently waiting)

24/1/2006 - ZDF confirmed for Brute Force Fest. (See gig section for details)

----IMage removed---

Im in the process of lining up some additional gigs locally, so stay tuned.

Decided this page was getting a bit cluttered with old news, so I've archived all the old stuff HERE.

Also, cheers to the folks who pointed out the problem on the mp3 page...Ive fized things up and added another track from the Split EP.

The Bald Bastard.
